Viva La Difference! Things are changing for Made in Ojai, 323 E. Matilija, and we’re inviting all our great customers to come on in and see what we’ve done! The store has undergone one of those Ojai transformations and is now using a cooperative model to bring all the best in local art and offerings. Along with the new concept, artists banding together and merchandizing their own work, comes a new name “Ojai Artisans and Mercantile.” We hope the changes will allow the presence of local art to continue to flourish in a more communal atmosphere.

We will still carry all “Made in Ojai” popular goodies including Ojai made Olive Oil, chocolates, soaps, locally produced music and books, under the Ojai Mercantile label.

To celebrate the new vision we’re throwing a party! They’ll be four hours of fun with a music/mixed media fest with locals John and Tony Perry and their buddy Bob Jones, the musical stylings of the award-winning local songwriter and musician Smitty West, and a local cover band, Sugar Cream. Local photographer Tim Hauf will be on hand along with other local artists and authors, get a book or CD signed and partake of refreshments that Roberta Raye promises will be marvelous and local.

Join us and see our new configuration at our grand-reopening party Saturday, April 4 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
